Lahore Qalandars decide to bat first against Islamabad United

Both Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have played eight matches in PSL 8 so far and remained victorious in six of them. Tonight’s match will be their ninth.

Qalandars edge United on points table on better net run rate. Both the teams have already qualified for the play-offs and tonight’s match will ensure the first play-of berth for one of the team. Tonight’s match promises to be a good contest between the Qalandars’ world-class bowling line, including the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Rashid Khan, and United’s explosive batting, which includes the in-form Colin Munro and the dangerous Alex Hales.

The Qalandars defeated United in the first match between the two sides during the ongoing tournament with a thumping 110-run victory on February 27 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
