With the surrender of the boy, all the suspects in the gun attack that killed a 16-year-old girl and wounded two others have been accounted for, police said.
Four suspects were earlier arrested one after the other before the boy was turned over by his parents to the police. Police Major Eric Gingoyon, chief of the Liloan Police Station, said the boy first surrendered to officials of Barangay Calero in Liloan before he was brought to the police.According to the boy’s father, his son denied that he was gunman and that he only accompanied the group in Liloan.
The victims were drinking outside a convenience store when they were fired upon by motorcycle-riding assailants around 4 a.m. Two of the five arrested suspects are twin brothers. A 9mm caliber pistol was recovered from one of the twin brothers during the arrest, police said.The assailants were members of the “Bloods” gang while the victims belong to “Crips.”
