AN empty shell and a slug are recovered outside a convenience store in Liloan town, Cebu where a group of teenagers were shot by unidentified assailants early Thursday morning, May 9.
The girl was hit in the chest and died while being treated in a hospital in Mandaue City where she and her teenage friends were brought after the attack. The attack happened around 4 a.m. while the girl and her friends were having a drinking session outside a convenience store. Police said while the group was drinking at least five men on a motorcycle arrived and fired at the victims.Police Major Eric Gingoyon, chief of the Liloan Police Station, said 18 spent shells and two slugs from an undetermined firearm were recovered at the crime scene.He added that investigators have identified some individuals who were considered as “persons of interest” in the crime.
