STATE weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration has issued flood advisories and placed 15 areas in Bicol and northern Luzon under storm signal number 1 as Tropical Depression Jenny approaches.

It is packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving northwest at 25 km/h. TCWS No. 1 may also be raised over Ilocos Norte, Babuyan Islands, and the rest of Pangasinan in the next Pagasa bulletin.Eastern Visayas will also have light to moderate rains rains due to Jenny between Monday and Tuesday, August 27.

Other areas that will be affected are starting Tuesday are Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the rest of Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.
