The June 11 anniversary will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, with a mass at the SC compound on Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.

The Supreme Court started Thursday, June 9, the celebration of its 121st anniversary on Saturday, June 11, with a community pantry for its personnel.SC’s Chief Administrative Officer Maria Carina M. Cunanan said this year’s community pantry marks the first anniversary of the courts’ “Kalinga Weeks Project” started by Justice Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa.

Last year, more than 14 tons of vegetables and other farm products purchased from Luzon farmers were distributed by the SC justices, led by Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, to various community pantries in the National Capital Region and other recipients. The distribution of the farm products, which were then given to needy persons through the community pantries, was done on the eve of the 120th anniversary of the SC last year.Included in last year’s distribution list were the indigent ward of the Philippine General Hospital, the Manila Police District, and existing community pantries throughout the NCR.
