A commander of the Special Action Force was shot dead inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City by a subordinate who allegedly turned jealous after his wife called to complain about his failure to come home.
Maj. Emerson Palomares, the SAF commanding officer of the Philippine National Police , was declared dead on arrival at the Parañaque Doctors Hospital, according to the Southern Police District in a post on its Viber account at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Police identified the suspect as Master Sgt. Sanwright Lobhoy who was arrested after the incident on Monday.
PSupt. Alexander Santos, chief of police of Taguig City, said that the two were together during the Marawi siege.Initial investigation disclosed that Palomares and Lobhoy confronted each other inside the office of the commander.
