Remedy Rule closed out her Tokyo 2020 Olympics campaign in the women's 200m butterfly semifinal on Wednesday, July 28, at the Tokyo Aquatics Center.

Rule clocked 2 minutes and 12.89 seconds in the second heat of her pet event for a 15th place finish overall., the Filipino-American finished with a time of 2:12.23 as she swam alongside event leader Zhang Yufei of China on Tuesday night.Rule holds the national record in the women's 200m butterfly with a time of 2:09.58, which was set at the 2020 TYR Pro Swim Series in Des Moines, Iowa.

In the country's hosting of the Southeast Asian Games in 2019, she bagged the silver behind Singapore's Quah Jing Wen.
