Two low pressure areas (LPA) monitored within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) will bring rains in some parts of Luzon and Visayas Tuesday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.

As of 5 p.m., one of two low pressure areas inside the Philippine area of responsibility has developed into tropical depression “Nimfa” on Tuesday afternoon.

PAGASA said this LPA and the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring frequent light to moderate with occasional heavy rains over Central Luzon, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.Meanwhile, PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza said the tropical storm with international name “Peipah” off the Pacific Ocean or outside the has been downgraded to LPA.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Palawan, and Mindoro Provinces will experience monsoon rains.
