LPA off Palawan could develop into tropical depression – Pagasa

A low pressure area spotted near San Vicente, Palawan might develop into a tropical depression in the next 48 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Sunday.'Once it develops into a TD, it will be named Odette.

This LPA brought cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms in the Western Visayas and Mimaropa,' Weather Specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.Pagasa is also monitoring a tropical depression 1,580 kilometers east of Visayas and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.The weather bureau raised gale warning in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Northern and Eastern coast of Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands, and Isabela.
