Agriculture Secretary William Dar said he would fly to Laoag on Monday to check the destruction left by the storm.
He said farmers can avail of a P25,000 loan assistance package which they can pay in 3 years with no interest.The northern Luzon province was placed under a state of calamity, Saturday, after Ineng's heavy rains left 2 people dead, and inundated farmlands, leaving cows drowned and crops submerged in floods, according to earlier reports.
Damage to agriculture is estimated to have reached P20 million while damage to infrastructure was seen at P300 million, according to the latest report of the Ilocos Norte Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
