Among the dead is a 17-year-old girl whose house in Pasuquin town collapsed in a landslide. A 37-year-old man was, meanwhile, killed after he was carried away by flood waters in Laoag City. Authorities have opened evacuation areas for some 418 who needed to take shelter from the rains and floods.
The local government this afternoon declared a state of calamity in the city amid heavy flooding.Heavy rains caused widespread damage in the province, with cows dying and equipment getting destroyed after being carried away by flood water.
