DepEd strengthens initiatives to erase errors in modules

“We would like to assure you that we are doing legally permissible to trace and to track all the materials which are attributed to the DepEd so that this incidence [], if they will not be repeated at least, will be minimized,” Education Secretary Leonor Briones said during last week’s virtual press briefing.

“We’re also still in the process of procuring third party expert SLM conformance reviewers who may come from academe and volunteers,” San Antonio said. Currently, he explained that the DepEd is “still working on the parameters on how engage them.” “Based on their initial monitoring reports, the Regional Offices have consolidated their concerns and suggested resolutions to improve the creation and distribution of 2nd Quarter SLMs, and to make the facilitation of distance learning more effective and innovative,” Escobedo said.

“There will also be adjustment in the review process and the conformance reviewers shall be given the authority to apply changes in the modules,” he explained.“At least 45 chiefs and education program supervisors from the regions will help in the conformance review for the second quarter,” he added.
