“Our hog industry in Caraga region is still negative or unaffected by this ASF,” stressed Emmylou T. Presilda, regional spokesperson of DA 13.
“Again, Caraga is free of ASF and our pork products are safe for human consumption,” stressed further the DA 13 spokesperson. Presilda said the agency would continue to carry out preventive measures to protect the region’s swine population from being infected with the viral disease. These checkpoints are located in Sta. Josefa boundary Loreto - Laac , Pulang-Lupa , Alegria in Surigao del Norte, and Carmen in Agusan del Norte.
