The Department of Health says any sharp increase in new COVID-19 cases in the coming days may lead authorities to reimpose strict quarantine rules that this weekend were eased in several areas of the country

Speaking to CNN Philippines on Sunday, DOH Spokesperson Maria Rosario Vergeire talked about photos showing the number of people who flocked to malls in Metro Manila on Saturday, after the city shifted to modified enhanced community quarantine status.Pero kung makikita po natin ito tapos biglang mag-surge angwe need to do another total lockdown if cases will increase," she said.

Malls and other facilities in Metro Manila partially opened on Saturday and Vergerie commented she hoped the guidelines set for these establishments would be followed.

How would they know if it was just some of the backlogs being recorded? We also had a typhoon which would give people the flu/colds and not necessarily COVID19. Just another excuse for not have a clue as to what to do and having no coordination with LGUs! Good luck!

Ngayun nyu lang naisip yan? Napaka obvious na hindi pa tayo okay para maglift ng ban and yet here we are.

Dapat inuna nila public transpo para makapag work na mga tao. Bat kasi mall inuna. Saka sana may coding na ulet sa mga sasakyan. Asan ba ang gobyerno

I hope they start testing people

MassTestingNowPH lockdown no more

Poor decision to downgrade the ECQ to MECQ or GCQ. Our people will always look for away to go out. Now you allow a few to go out, many will take advantage of the rules. You should have waited for the stoppage of infected person. Increase the testing.

why wait for a sharp increase?

The authorities should have thought this plan through before they implemented it. Safety measures with proper enforcement sana. We all know that's our most pressing problem. The enforcement of the rules.

A lot of Testing kits & more mass testing to make total lockdown success. We cannot experiment on this pandemic. We cannot risk our frontliners again. Or else we might lose this fight.

Why can't I send your link to messenger? HMMMMM

Lockdowns won’t solve the problem. The gov’t should implement strict measures that can enable people to work despite the threat of the virus. And of course, everybody must be disciplined. Primarily, our participation is the greatest factor in curbing the increase in covid19 cases

Bakit kasi pinayagan ang mga malls magbukas? Alam natin lahat na ang mga malls ay ang tambyan ng mga tao. Indi rin nagiisip mga autoridad.

Omg

Lockdown initially was for us to prepare our hospitals not to overwhelm. But if we keep on extended the lockdowns their will be economy to go back to.

There is no data there to prove that by lockdown the 🦠 will be gone. We need more vitamin D and C to prepare our bodies to fight 🦠.

AFTER THE STUPIDITY YESTERDAY—-EXPECT IT!!!

I hope everyone complies so we can really flatten this curve and life will somehow go back to normal. My father died during ECQ and I was not able to pay my last respects. That was the saddest part of this quarantine 😢😔

Puede ba sumunod na kayo para naman fair sa mga talagang nag stay at home na tulad namin. Aba gusto ko nang makita ang mama ko na 64 days ko nang di nakikita

no, let the dutae gov’t prioritize the economy rather than the lives of our countrymen

And then they can sit back and watch as they starve half their country to death.

The government has run out of money, I doubt they can impose strict measures again as they can't even afford to feed people if they don't allow them to work 2weeks na po 200+ ang infected every day.. Hindi pa sila nagwoworry? how would they know if it came from this weekend? Backlogged pa rin ang testing di ba?
