Police identified the fatalities as Jonathan Parbo, 40, farmer, and Jomar Castillo, 20, residents of Barangay Pimentel, this city.
Investigation said the victims’ speeding northbound kurong-kurong occupied the lane and rammed the southbound Florida Bus driven by Luis Barroga, 60, of Barangay 27, Laoag City, this province. Due to the impact of the collision, Pabro and Castillo were dragged on the road and died on the spot due to serious injuries.
Injured were the passengers of the kurong-kurong – Mary Cardenas, Mary Chris Pareja, and a nine-year-old child, also residents of Barangay Pimentel.
