Highlights of the event are a concelebrated Mass at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Batac City, wreath-laying at the monument of Marcos Sr. called “Daytoy ti Bannawag” , and the unveiling of a rice paddy art in front of the administration building of the State-run Mariano Marcos State University featuring the image of Marcos Jr.
Earlier, the Ilocos Norte Agricultural College unveiled a rice paddy art image of Ilocos Norte Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte. As tribute to Marcos Sr.’s commitment for the welfare of the Filipino people, Sen. Imee R. Marcos is offering free dialysis services in seven hospitals nationwide, including the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Batac City on Monday, September 11.
On Saturday, September 9, Sen. Marcos led the Marcos 106 Literary and Arts Competition in the mall in partnership with the provincial government of Ilocos Norte in honor of Marcos Sr.
