The DOH said 23.4 percent of 46,644 people who underwent COVID-19 testing were found positive for SARS-CoV-2 on Monday.

It also said that all laboratories were operational on Monday but nine were not able to submit their data on time. The nine non-reporting labs contribute 3.9 percent of samples tested and 5.6 percent of positive individuals on average in the last two weeks. Moreover, the DOH reported the detection of 265 duplicates in its COVID-19 data that were consequently removed from the total case count. Of these duplicates, 259 are recoveries. Also, the agency said 74 cases that were initially counted as recoveries were likewise reclassified as deaths after final validation.
