Shooting Stars General Manager, Dimeji Lawal has apologised to the club supporters following the team's defeat to Remo Stars on Wednesday. The Oluyole Warriors fell to a disappointing 3-0 loss in the South West derby. The defeat ended the Ibadan club's three-game unbeaten streak.

Their former striker, Sikiru Alimi scored twice for Remo Stars in the game. 'On behalf of the management, technical crew and players of this club, I am tendering an unreserved apology to our supporters and fans over the loss to Remo Stars in Ikenne,' Lawal told the club's official website.

'We really appreciate them for dedicating their precious time and spending their hard earned money to come down to Ikenne to support us, despite the harsh economy. 'I want to, on behalf of the entire team, appeal to them not to be discouraged, but to keep on supporting and believing in us. We will surely make up for that disappointing result from the next game against Niger Tornadoes.
