Barring any last-minute change of mind/plan the Speaker of the House of Representatives,. Femi Gbajabiamila is to meet with Chairmen of Committees from 7pm.
The meeting, which is at the instance of the leadership of the House, is to quell rising discontents on the 2020 budget, especially the issue of debt servicing which is estimated at N2.45 trillion, Though, it is said that the meeting is to sensitise chairmen on issues pertaining to committee work and the impending legislative agenda, sources said the aspect of the budget is an essential issue that stimulated the need for the meeting in the first place.
On Wednesday, Rep Kingsley Chinda had posited via Order 12 that it was imperative that the details of the budget accompanies the bill before it could be considered.
