The father of the missing final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, Mr Joshe Boluwaji, has expressed belief his daughter is still alive.
The 25- year-old Doyin Boluwaji was reportedly swept away by flood following all-night downpour last Tuesday at her rented residence in Akungba-Akoko. Boluwaji spoke on Thursday while receiving Executives members of Ondo state government at his residence in Akure, the state capital. According to him,the accommodation secured for the girl since her preliminary year in the university town was not near canal or water-prone environmentThe parent, who begged government to get her alive, appreciated the state government for the visit.Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale, who led the delegation, cautioned residents against building on waterways.
He added that the state government still look forward to acquiring more swamp buggy and amphibian excavators to tackle ecological problems in the state.
