The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), yesterday, cautioned the Federal Government against use of force in the enforcement of vaccination of workers.

Education sector workers lament exposure to COVID-19

However, Wabba urged the current administration to employ persuasion and conviction rather than force. He said: “The truth is that despite being imperfect, the COVID-19 vaccine has given all of us a better chance of fighting the virus and staying alive. “We urge that the tool of persuasion and conviction be used rather than force to get workers and the general populace to take the vaccine.

He stated: “As I speak, COVID-19 is still affecting our members negatively. Because of the peculiarity of the education sector, our members have to be at work at all cost. There are no measures put in place to protect students and workers. Students have been asked to resume studies using the same hostels and classrooms’ capacities.
