Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State yesterday said his administration would continue to do its best to uplift education in the state.

Makinde stated this during the 2021 annual reunion programme of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association and the commemoration of the 92nd anniversary of the school.

Projects commissioned included a road rehabilitated by Dr. Wale Babalakin, who is the national president of the association. “We always have challenges no matter how good the system is. We have challenges with the quality of teachers and also getting parents to know that they have primary responsibility to train their children. We have to do more on that so that parents can complement what we are doing.”
