14 Abducted Passengers At Edo Train Station Released –NRC News

In a statement signed by the NRC’s deputy director of public relations, Mr. Mahmood Yakub, none of the abducted passengers was hurt.

He said apart from the state government and security agencies, the management lauded the families of victims for their patience during the period of their captivity. Yakub decried the dastardly and wanton act of kidnapping innocent and law-abiding citizens adding that “It is a display of cowardice that must be condemned and not tolerated in any guise”.

The spokesperson enjoined communities residing along the railway corridors to be security conscious by reporting suspicious movement that is likely to cause breach of peace to the nearest security agency or community vigilante for quick intervention.
