PETALING JAYA: Presiden Umno Ahmad Zahid Hamidi menyangkal dakwaan dibuat pihak tertentu bahawa pertemuan presiden parti bersama Dr Mahathir Mohamad pada 23 Mac lalu adalah untuk menyerahkan dokumen mahkamah.
“Gambar yang tular di media sosial adalah perjumpaan presiden parti-parti politik untuk mencadangkan agar Dr Mahathir Mohamad mewujudkan kerajaan perpaduan tanpa DAP, PKR dan Amanah. “Presiden parti yang hadir membawa SD dan bukannya dokumen mahkamah seperti ditulis beberapa orang. Saya hadir membawa mandat ahli dan pimpinan Umno, tidak lebih daripada itu,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan, hari ini.
Gambar itu menunjukkan Mahathir duduk bersama Zahid; Pengerusi GPS Abang Johari Openg; Ketua Whip GPS Fadillah Yusof; Presiden PPBM Muhyiddin Yassin; Presiden Warisan Shafie Apdal; bekas timbalan presiden PKR Azmin Ali dan Presiden PAS Abdul Hadi Awang.
