PRESIDEN Recep Tayyip Erdogan pada Sabtu mengatakan Turki dan Rusia akan bersama-sama menghasilkan sistem pertahanan S-500 selepas kontroversi pembelian sistem pertahanan peluru berpandu S-400 Ankara daripada Moscow. Tindakan Turki untuk membeli S-400 membangkitkan ketegangan hubungan dengan Amerika Syarikat yang berulang kali memberi amaran kepada Ankara mengenai risiko termasuk sekatan akibat pembelian itu.
