KOTA KINABALU: Three people were killed while a toddler is in a critical condition following an accident along the Lintas flyover near here.

The deceased - two men and a woman - were believed to have been killed on the spot after the 11.30pm accident.

Of the three who were killed, a man and a woman were pinned inside the badly-wrecked car while another man and the three-year-old boy were thrown out of the vehicle due to the crash. State Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Misran Bisara said identification details of all the victims have yet to be acquired.

“The victims were all taken to the hospital for post mortem and the toddler for emergency treatment,” he said.According to witnesses, the vehicle which was going quite fast and crashed into one of the pillars on the flyover during the accident.
