Suspended operations, job cuts in store for Penang factories

SOME Penang factories will suspend operations and downsize their workforce due to restructuring, said the state’s investment promotion agency. InvestPenang director Lee Kah Choon said industries are restructuring because of slow global economic growth and demand, as well as business uncertainty stemming from the US-China trade war.
