Tampin district police chief Supt Anuwal Ab Wahab said family members who were at the polling centre rushed her to a health clinic but she died a short while later."Her condition worsened and medical personnel performed cardio-pulmonary resuscitation on the woman but were unable to save her," he said in a statement on Saturday .
Supt Anuwal said the deceased had recently gone on a pilgrimage and had earlier told her family that she was experiencing leg pains.The woman's medical records also showed that she suffered from high blood pressure. Supt Anuwal said her remains were later sent to the Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem examination and that the case had been classified as sudden death.
