PETALING JAYA: There will not be a special Parliament sitting to determine who will be prime minister on March 2, says Mohd Ariff Yusof.

The Parliament Speaker said that he had received a letter from interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad stating that the Government had agreed for a Dewan Rakyat meeting on Monday .

"However, in my opinion, the letter does not conform to Parliament Standing Orders 11," he said in a statement on Friday .

Dewan Rakyat to decide on next PM March 2, says Dr MPUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad is not discounting the possibility of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) nominating Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as its candidate for Prime Minister. oh come on NST, UMNO already denied they're going to nominate Muhyiddin. If Tun M nominate Muhyiddin because he chose the safer side, it's like he's nominating Pak Lah all over again. this will perhaps now lead to vote buying and lobbying over the next few days
