The General Operations Force Southeast Brigade has seized various smuggled goods worth RM10.28 million during the period between January and June this year on the Malaysia-Thailand border in Kelantan, a figure that saw a threefold increase over the same period last year.
“Among those seized were ketum leaves, cigarettes, daily necessities, petrol and others that were attempted to be smuggled in and out of the Malaysia-Thailand border in the state through several illegal bases,“ he said.
