Helping astronauts' underwear stay cleaner for longer is one way to keep space clean.

Photo: Robert Markowitz/NASA/dpaAfter all, the glowing objects burning up in the sky as they re-enter the atmosphere are not necessarily meteorites heading to Earth.

Their goal is to make sure the underwear astronauts wear can be worn for longer, and thrown away less frequently, while still promoting hygiene. Until now, astronauts have worn their underwear for a few days and then disposed of it. Outer space missions involve the traveller first putting on a diaper, followed by their personal underwear. Then comes a third layer, which helps with cooling. But this is shared between crew members and is not washed between uses.

The European Space Agency, which contracted the problem to the OeWF, is hoping new ideas will be found by 2023, which is why the OeWF called on the VTL for help.

The ‘non-Malay dilemma' 64 years after independenceChanging the system through elections won't work, says Chandran Nair. Non-malay politicians are the reason why non-malay Malaysians cannot control Malaysian politics. Instead of standing up for non-malay Malaysians, these non-malay politicians are licking their malay politicians' boots for their chicken feed supply. Change them first. Really good article, but the movement needs to start from the rural area where urban and educated Malays & non-Malays to go out and explain what has happened without being arrested. The rural and poor Malay folks are scared of their country being stolen by the Chinese, debunk it! There’s no non-Malay dilemma. There’s Malaysian dilemma. Our nation building agenda has been hijacked by a few in the elite group. Time for rakyat, real Malaysians to get involved and be a force of politics. I have one tanahair, Malaysia. My friends are simply Malaysians.
