The air pollutant index at Sri Aman, Sarawak, hit its highest level of 407 at 5pm today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department had announced that it was postponing the cloud seeding operations in Sarawak to Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to unsuitable atmospheric conditions. Based on a report by the Sarawak department of environment, a total of 452 hotspots were detected in Kalimantan, 243 in Sumatra and 17 in Sarawak.

An API reading of 0-50 shows good air quality, 51-100 moderate, 101-200 unhealthy, 201-300 very unhealthy, and over 300 hazardous.
