Sarawak state govt plans to inoculate teens aged 16, 17 soon, says SDMC advisor

KUCHING, Aug 15 — Sarawak government is working closely with the Health Department and Education Department on a plan to inoculate teenagers aged 16 and 17 with the Covid-19 vaccine, said State Disaster Management Committee advisor Datuk Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Speaking on a Facebook Live session later in the afternoon, he said the preliminary planning was to have the teenagers be vaccinated at their respective schools since the teachers would have known their students very well. Dr Sim later reiterated the state government’s aim of making sure that nobody would be left behind in the state’s Covid-19 vaccination drive and he hoped that those who had yet to be vaccinated to go to any vaccination centre to have their jabs.
