“Pada 1970-an, berlaku perang saudara di Filipina, Jadi PBB melainkan peranan membantu pelarian dan kerajaan Sabah mewartakan beberapa kawasan untuk PBB. Beliau berkata menempatkan mereka di pulau adalah untuk tujuan keselamatan dan membolehkan kerajaan memantau pergerakan mereka.
