JOHOR BARU: A teacher at a religious school in Pontian is being investigated for allegedly assaulting four pupils who spotted him smoking in school, says Johor executive councillor Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid.
"A report has been lodged and the district Islamic Education office has also given its full cooperation to the police during the investigation. "I urge all parties to respect the investigation process," he said, adding that disciplinary action can be taken after the investigation is completed.
