RASMI: GPS pertahan DUN Jepak

BINTULU: Gabungan Parti Sarawak kekal mempertahan kerusi Dewan Undangan Negeri Jepak selepas calon partinya, Iskandar Turkee menang dengan jumlah keseluruhan 9,638 undi.

Pengumuman itu diumumkan Pegawai Pengurus Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya PRK DUN Jepak, Abang Zainuddin Abang Turkey pada pukul 8.28 malam di Dewan Suarah Bintulu di sini. Calon GPS, Iskandar Turkee memenangi kerusi tersebut dengan jumlah 9,638 undian menewaskan Stevenson Joseph Sumbang dari PBK dan Chieng Lea Phing dari ASPIRASI .Sebanyak 10,923 daripada 22,731 pengundi berdaftar memilih wakil rakyat baharu pada PRK DUN Jepak hari ini.

Sebanyak 14 pusat mengundi membabitkan 47 saluran dibuka sejak pukul 7.30 pagi sehingga pulu 5.30 petang tadi. Kerusi DUN Jepak diisytiharkan kosong susulan kematian penyandangnya, Datuk Talib Zulpilip pada 15 September lepas. – UTUSAN
