BINTULU: Ballot boxes have begun arriving at the Civic Centre here for tallying in the Jepak by-election, after polling closed at 5.30pm.

The first ballot box arrived at 5.49pm on Saturday from Tabika Kemas Kuala Segan, one of three polling stations that closed earlier at 4pm.The Jepak by-election is a three-way contest between Iskandar Turkee of Gabungan Parti Sarawak , Stevenson Joseph Sumbang and Chieng Lea Phing .With two ballot boxes tallied as at 6.15pm, Iskandar has received 338 votes while Stevenson has 26 votes and Chieng four votes.
