Polis tahan lelaki disyaki pecahkan patung kuil di Taiping

Polis menahan seorang lelaki kerana disyaki memecahkan patung di sebuah kuil di Matang, Taiping hari ini.

Timbalan Ketua Polis Perak Datuk Azizi Mat Aris berkata pihaknya menerima laporan kira-kira 9.01 pagi yang menyatakan saksi telah melihat suspek bertindak agresif dengan memecahkan patung kuil tersebut dalam keadaan hanya memakai seluar dalam. Beliau berkata suspek berusia 23 tahun itu juga telah menolak seorang mangsa yang cuba untuk menenangkannya ketika kejadian.

Katanya hasil siasatan yang dilakukan, pihak polis telah menahan suspek serta merampas dua tukul besi yang dipercayai digunakan suspek dalam kejadian tersebut, selain ujian saringan air kencing mendapati suspek positif ganja . “Pihak polis turut membuka kertas siasatan di bawah Seksyen 427 Kanun Keseksaan dan Seksyen 295 Kanun Keseksaan,“ katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.Justeru, beliau menasihatkan orang ramai supaya tidak membuat sebarang spekulasi berkaitan kejadian itu kerana dibimbangi mendatangkan kegusaran terhadap masyarakat. s- Bernama
