Traffic enforcement director Azisman Alias says they respect the decision of the transport ministry to allow cars to tint their rear windshield and rear passenger seats as dark as they want.

The government will continue to allow fully tinted rear car windshields and windows.

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have accepted the decision of the government on the new car tint ruling, said Bukit Aman Investigation and Traffic Enforcement Department director Azisman Alias.“We adhere to and respect the decision of Transport Minister Anthony Loke on this matter,” he told reporters after handing over packed food for the breaking of fast to traffic policemen at Jalan Tun Perak here yesterday.

Loke had earlier said new regulations allowing fully tinted rear car windshields and windows would stay despite protests from various quarters including the police.
