PUTRAJAYA: The Human Resources Ministry and the Public Service Department have been asked to look into expanding work from home facilities, with full pay, to women who are taking care of family members who are aged and ill, says the Prime Minister.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said work from home facilities should also be given to men as well so that they can help and support their wives to care for new-born babies.

"These initiatives are to encourage shared responsibility, to allow women to remain in the workforce and to help boost work productivity. Muhyiddin also pointed out it was important for workplaces to ensure all aspects of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes uses gender analysis through a budget that is gender-responsive.
