Although fishing in Penang was allowed again from Wednesday, Jainol noticed only a third of the usual crowd was at the seawall.“The government has not clearly outlined the types of fishing allowed so it is better to be safe than sorry. Under Phase Two of the NRP in Penang, individual sports and recreation were allowed while observing at least 2m distancing.These activities are jogging, tai chi, cycling, skateboarding, fishing, equestrian, archery, climbing, tennis , golf and motorsports.
Prohibition applies to all indoor sports and recreational activities, and all watersports except fishing.
