Ketua Pegawai Korporat KTMB, Mohamed Suhaimi Yaacob berkata, pertambahan penumpang itu bagi perjalanan dari Stesen Ipoh, Sungai Siput dan Kuala Kangsar ke stesen lain di laluan KTM Komuter Utara antara Ipoh ke Butterworth, Pulau Pinang.
Yang turut hadir, Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pelancongan, Industri, Pelaburan dan Pembangunan Koridor negeri, Loh Sze Yee dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa. “Namun, kami merancang untuk menambah baik sistem perkhidmatan ini dengan menambah lebih banyak bilangan gerabak pada masa akan datang,” katanya lagi.
