PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has reported two new Covid-19 clusters in the country with nine positive cases of Covid-19 detected so far.

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the clusters are PUI Sivagangga India in Kedah and Satok in Sarawak.

“The PUI Sivagangga India cluster recorded five positive cases while the Satok cluster reported four positive cases so far, ” he said, adding that active case detection is also ongoing. Dr Noor Hisham noted that Malaysia has recorded 39 new Covid-19 and six recoveries, bringing the total infection to 8,943 cases as of Tuesday .“Of the 39 new infections, 11 were imported cases involving four Malaysians and seven foreigners, ” he said.At present, Dr Noor Hisham said one patient is being treated at the intensive care unit and requires a ventilator.Article type: metered
