KUALA LUMPUR: The government is looking into sanitising public buildings regularly to prevent outbreaks of the Covid-19 virus, says Zuraida Kamaruddin .

"We are looking at the trends and although there are no huge spikes, I will instruct the Fire and Rescue Department to implement a sanitisation programme and revisit public places that are in need of it. She added that local councils will also be doing their part to ensure that the current SOPs are being enforced in their areas, especially as masks are being made compulsory in public places starting Aug 1.
