SIBU: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is not in negotiation with Party Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) for seats sharing for the 12th Sarawak state election, says Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

The GPS secretary-general stressed that no such negotiation has ever taken place nor will take place between the two parties."Referring to media reports on the allegations that I have confirmed there are seat-sharing negotiations between GPS and Bersatu, I would like to deny ever giving such a statement. I would like to stress, no such negotiation has ever been or will be held," he said in a statement on Sunday .

He said what happened at a press conference held on October 21 in Kuching was that he was asked about the Bersatu seat in Sarawak, namely the Krian seat which is held by Datuk Ali Biju. "In response to that question, I simply stated that the position of Krian seat will be discussed by GPS. The answers given by me are not referring to any other state assembly seats as GPS is not going to give any seats to any other party," he added.

"With this explanation, I hope all parties get the real facts and no further issues about it will arise," he said.
