No foul play in death of senior citizen detainee

Ipoh District Police Chief ACP Yahaya Hassan says there were no physical injuries that could be linked to criminal elements in regards to the death of a 62-year-old detainee. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, September 14, 2022.

Ipoh District Police Chief ACP Yahaya Hassan said there were no physical injuries that could be linked to criminal elements. He said that the case was classified as sudden death and the Criminal Investigation Unit on Deaths in Custody and Bukit Aman Integrity and Standards Compliance Department would continue investigations and refer the results of the investigation to the coroner.
