YANG di-Pertuan Agong menitahkan Muhyiddin Yassin dan Anwar Ibrahim mengadap di Istana Negara pukul 4.30 petang ini selepas tiada mana-mana gabungan yang mereka ketuai mendapat majoriti mudah untuk membentuk kerajaan.
“Memandangkan tiada ahli Dewan Rakyat yang mendapat kepercayaan majoriti mudah maka Seri Paduka Baginda menitah perkenan untuk ketua-ketua gabungan Pakatan Harapan dan Perikatan Nasional mengadap pada jam 4.30 petang ini di Istana Negara,” kata Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Ahmad Fadil Samsuddin. Menjelang tempoh akhir 2 petang tadi, Barisan Nasional yang menang 30 kerusi pada Pilihan Raya Umum ke-15 memutuskan untuk kekal sebagai pembangkang dan tidak bersama dengan PN atau PH untuk membentuk kerajaan.
