NSTnation: The Finance Ministry has assured to provide additional allocations, if necessary, in effort to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus (2019nCoV). Wuhan China virus

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said he had received a personal assurance from Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng on the matter.

This came after the Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali in a statement said the ministry would continue to work closely with the Health Ministry, through development funding to enhance national preparedness to face health emergencies and outbreaks.“But I have received a personal commitment from the finance minister himself and that the health ministry is able to request for extra funds if the need arises.
