KUALA LUMPUR: Mohd Azizi Abu Naim says he hopes the unity government coalition will give him the chance to defend his Gua Musang parliament seat in the event a by-election is called for the constituency."I laid the groundwork since 2020 during the movement control order ."I will use this reason to meet the Pakatan Harapan/Barisan Nasional leadership to urge them to give me a chance to contest again" he said during a press conference in Parliament on Monday .
"I wasn't given any resources but we still struggled for two years to carry out activities to woo younger voters," he added. In June, Mohd Azizi, who is also Nenggiri state assemblyman, took the Kelantan Speaker to court for declaring his state seat vacant. He was among the six Bersatu MPs, along with a Selangor assemblyman, whose memberships were revoked after they failed to respond to a letter requesting that they pledge their allegiance to the party.
