KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles shuttler Goh Soon Huat is racing against time to be fit for two back-to-back tournaments next month.

The 28-year-old’s participation in the Indonesian Open from July 16-21 and Japan Open remains unclear as he’s still recovering from a hamstring injury picked up three weeks ago.

Soon Huat and partner Shevon Lai did not compete at the Australian Open earlier this month and they can’t afford to miss out on any opportunity to collect ranking points. “So, the most important thing now is to let him heal fully, let him take his time. We’re monitoring his condition with the help of the physio.
